View MoreCOPD has a global impact on quality of life, morbidity and mortality. COPD is currently considered an incurable chronic condition, with available treatments aiming to manage symptoms only. To date, there is no therapy to replace or regenerate alveoli destroyed by lung hyperinflation and chronic inflammation caused by COPD.
The SORT-COPD study is a phase I (first-in-human) study testing an investigational stem cell therapy that has the potential; to regenerate lung tissue. This study is focused on understanding the safety and tolerability of this cell therapy.
We’re looking for people living with COPD (including emphysema) to take part in this study. Your involvement in this study could help improve how we treat COPD, globally and for future generations to come.

At least 10 clinic visits over approximately 7 months
Participants will be reimbursed up to $2,550 for their time on study
Be aged 39 – 69 years old
All genders welcome
Be living with mild to moderate COPD (including emphysema)
No history of chronic liver disease or chronic kidney disease, and not currently taking systemic corticosteroids
