View MoreEpstein-Barr Virus (EBV) is the highly contagious virus that causes glandular fever, where symptoms include sore throat, fatigue and rashes. It’s estimated that approximately 95% of adults will be infected with EBV at some point in their lives. EBV does not leave the body once symptoms resolve. The virus can later reactivate and cause symptoms again, as well as becoming contagious again. Despite how common this virus is in the community, no approved vaccines exist for EBV.
That’s why we’re looking for healthy adults aged 18-30 to take part in the NEXT Study. This study is testing a new investigational EBV vaccine and assessing the safety and tolerability of the vaccine in healthy adults.
There are no overnight stays required for this study.
